MTV: music television?

So pretty much every time i flip the tube over to MTV to see what new music is out, I almost always find one of their shows on.  I know a lot of people stay ticked about the fact that MTV has sold out to pop reality TV.  Well, the reality is that some of the most creative entertainment is on MTV.  Here’s  a list of their current shows.  What are you watching?  How do you feel about MTV really being RTV (reality television)?

How in the word do you keep up with what’s

cool when you are doing student ministry?

What’s hot right now is completely different from last month or even from last week. So if you’re in ministry how can you stay up with what’s in? Here are some ideas for you:

1. Billboard.com always has the top 100 songs.

So who’s number one on the chart as of 6-24-08…. It’s Coldplay Viva La Vida

2. Entertainment Weekly or EW.com

here is a place to find out about movies, tv, music, and all kinds of what’s hot in the entertainment world.

3. MTV.com and VH1

OK i realize “MTV” has sold out. I mean isn’t it supposed to be Music Television, and now it’s reality tv show after reality tv show. OK, but they are are banking and millions of viewers are still tuning in. I mean more than ever MTV is making it’s mark on what is hot in world of teens. the average age of an MTV view is 13 years old. If teens are watching, i feel like i need to as well, plug I really love some of the shows.
