Deserting Dead idols

People come up and tell us how you received us with open arms, how you deserted the dead
idols of your old life so you could embrace and serve God, the true God.  1 Thessalonians 1:9

People take notice to radical transformation.  One reason people may not be noticing Christ in you, is because there may be a lack of noticeable change.  Too often, “Christ-followers” don’t follow Christ closely, we dabble in Christ, then later dabble in the “dead idols” of the world.  We cling to the comfort of those things that were in our life before Christ.  We continue worshiping ourselves, others, jobs, ideas, instead of the One who deserves true and authentic Worship. 

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”   John 4:23-24

It’s time for us to true worshipers, authentic worshipers.  As we begin to live to bring glory and honor to God in everything we do, others will begin to really take notice of Christ in us.

Love God Love People

Our student ministry CBGstudents.com is in it’s fifth week of a summer long series called “Love God Love People”.

Basically we are talking about Luke 10:26-28 He answered: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.

We want to live out Loving God and Loving People in every area of our lives. God has given us so much. The World and Everything in it. So what do we do with the opportunities before us. I love this video from the discovery channel that talks about the awesomeness of the world.

What a great picture of our planet and the people on it. Now our question is how do we take everything that God has created in us to impact our world the greatest, by Loving God and Loving People??? Let me know of some ideas that you have in Loving God Loving People…
