Pray for Myanmar (Burma)

I first read about this when we were in Cancun on vacation. The first time I heard about the cyclone, the news reported 300 dead, the next time it was about 5,000 dead and thousands more homeless, the next day it was 25,000 dead and 100,000 left homeless, and by that afternoon they were reporting up to 100,000 dead and a million homeless.

this is what Fox News is reporting as of today:
Myanmar’s state media said
Cyclone Nargis killed at least 22,980 people and left 42,119 missing,
mostly in the hardest-hit Irrawaddy delta. Shari Villarosa, who heads
the U.S. Embassy in Yangon, said the number of dead could eventually
exceed 100,000 because safe food and water were scarce and unsanitary
conditions widespread.

U.N. officials estimated as many as 1 million people were left homeless in Myanmar, which also is known as Burma.

“Father, be with all those in Burma who are without: food, water, electricity, family, hope. Lord, please allow them help, break down barriers of country confliction. Cause disunity to become unity. My prayer is in the midst of their Hell Burma finds hope in you. Father pour out your love, your grace, your restoration on these your creation. Thank you Jesus . Amen.”
