Belief
Belief is a powerful thing. Belief changes the direction of our
lives. It carries our conversations and develops our destinies. The
lack of belief leaves us hopeless, purposeless, and directionless.
Authentic belief is always followed by authentic action. If we truly
believe, our lives will back up that belief.
“…faith without deeds is dead.” James 2:26
However, it is interesting to me, even in my personal life, how
often I struggle with living out what I believe. Obviously there are
other variables that play into that struggle. Other people, the
nagging of other options, a sin nature that constantly tears at us.
Even in the struggle, I insist that we should make forward progress in
our belief. If our forward motion towards our belief ceases than so
does the worth of our faith. Faith without works is dead.
I believe Jesus is Savior. I believe He is the Christ, the Son of
the living God. That belief not only changes my world, it changes the
whole world, and even more than that it changes eternity.
Belief leads us to where we are going as well as who we lead.

Evangelism
Evangelize: to preach the gospel or to convert to Christianity.
In the marketing world, the word evangelism has become a favored way to express the transmission of product or service information by word of mouth. Guy Kawasaki says that it’s, “the process of selling a dream.” Whether a dream or reality, evangelism is the act of revealing and inviting others to experience your belief.
If what you believe is important enough to you that you can no longer keep to yourself, you must share it with others, you become an evangelist.
9 But if I say, “I will not mention him or speak any more in his name,”
his word is in my heart like a fire,
a fire shut up in my bones.
I am weary of holding it in;
indeed, I cannot. Jeremiah 20:9
What burns within so much that you can not hold it in. When I think about the truth of the gospel, and contemplate the eternal magnitude of not revealing that truth to others around me, I become disturbed. As a matter of fact my heart breaks for those who are without the knowledge of the Savior. It’s one thing to reject God, it’s another thing entirely for those who don’t know because we as Christ’s ambassadors/evangelists haven’t made every possible effort to reveal His truth.
Are you an evangelist?
Made Right in God’s Sight
Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we
have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for
us.
I think it’s rare that we actually consider ourselves as “not right” or
broken or messed up. Pretty often we convince ourselves that we are not
as messed up as the drunk, or the prostitute, or the drug pusher, or the
murder, or whoever and we excuse ourselves as being better than… a
lot of other people, hopefully making us pretty good or mostly “right”.
Truth be told from murder to me we’re all messed up, jacked up beyond
on all recognition… and then there is Jesus Christ. Lord and Savior
and what He has done brings us to right in the sight of God.
THANK YOU JESUS FOR MAKING US RIGHT IN GOD’S SIGHT!
